This project combined my crochet practice with
editorial layout. I designed a small booklet that
functions like a cross between an old-fashioned crochet
manual and a personal scrapbook. All of the pieces
featured were handmade by me, and many of the
“illustrations” are photos I took of printed Post-it–note
snapshots of my crochet work, giving the spreads
a nostalgic, analog texture. I incorporated additional
physical photographs of the materials and details of
each piece to deepen that crafted, hands-on feel. The
final result is a warm, intimate publication that highlights
the feel of handmade objects while exploring how
physical media can be translated into engaging design.
