In this project, I challenged the traditional gig poster format by creating two distinct visuals for the band _BY.ALEXANDER. I used both physical and digital design methods. For the first poster, I drew the face and background texture using charcoal. This analog work was then digitized and heavily edited in Adobe Photoshop to manipulate the colors and visual intensity, establishing the poster’s raw, electric energy. Finally, the layout and typography were finalized in Adobe Illustrator. For the second poster, I used Illustrator for the overall design and layout for a more minimalist feel, while still being in the same genre as the first poster. I wanted the second poster to be a stark change from the first one in terms of style, but still have the same feeling.
