I never imagined that I would be able to draw something that I was truly proud of until I started taking drawing classes in college. After my first big drawing, the cow skull, I instantly fell in love with charcoal. I enjoy when art is inherently messy, and charcoal is one of the messier ones. I love the way you can use your hands to move around the charcoal and kind of sculpt with it on the paper. All of these drawings are still life or have some type of reference. My favorite one is the five hands project. My left hand was used as a reference for this drawing, and I pulled inspiration from the show Arcane.
